THRESHOLD
Threshold is a deeply personal exploration of what it means to have machines as part of your body. The acceptance of a cochlear implant is not an automatic, seamless entry to a world of sound. In this work a young woman considers the threshold she crosses, between sound and no sound. The discovery of what she can hear is astonishing and welcome, so long as she can keep the deep silence that fills her to the brim.

SO BEAUTIFUL
A work that considers how sign languages around the world are commodified and separated from deaf people for hearing people’s pleasure and profit. It explores the erasure of Deaf people from sign language in art, film and education. It takes a fairytale approach featuring international Deaf dancer Anna Seymour as an Auslan sprite, embodying sign language itself as a creature of wonderment and Deaf rage.
Currently in post-production and ready for screening/exhibition in May 2024.
